The first SEM Academic Salon of 2018 was successfully held on the afternoon of April 12th. Chaired by Associate Researcher Lin Han of Nanjing Audit University and attended by SEM faculties, the first Academic Salon took “how to efficiently write and publish SCI/SSCI dissertations” as the theme.
Mr. Lin Han graduated from Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his research interests lie in major infrastructure project management, social responsibility, technological innovation and environmental management. He chairs numerous national scientific projects and has fruitful academic achievements.
Mr. Lin pointed out that thesis topics with local and domestic characters are sometimes of more international reference, that an author needs to have full awareness of the targeted magazine in terms of its preferred topics, contents, formats and the like, and that an author needs to take the opinions of editors and peer-reviewers into full consideration. Besides, domestic authors sometimes need the help of professionals in polishing English dissertations to make the language more fluent and accurate.
