Weekend Forum: “Internet +” World and Entrepreneurship

Today, Mr. Deng Xiaozhu ushered the students into the “Internet +” world and lectured on entrepreneurship and the indispensable preparations college students need to make before starting up businesses. The lecture contained four main parts: how to selectgood entrepreneurial projects, how to enhance thequality of projects, how to optimize the team structure, and how to succeed in entrepreneurial competitions of college students. Relevant competitions can be divided into the following categories: “Internet +” modern agriculture, “Internet +” manufacturing, “Internet +” information technology services, “Internet +” innovative cultural services, “Internet +” social services, “Internet + ” non-benefit entrepreneurship.

For the upcoming “Internet +” competitions, Mr. Deng deciphered the four essential factors from the perspectives of a judge: first, commerciality: paying attention to commercial wholeness and feasibility, especially the feasibility in such aspects as identifying and utilizing opportunities, competition and cooperation,technological basis, product or service design, fund and personnel requirements, and existing laws and regulations; second, team structure: focusing on the education and working background, senses of values, areas of expertise, and division of work of the members; third, innovation: emphasizing the values of original ideas, and highlighting the importance of making breakthroughs and innovations by means of Internet technologies, methods and thinking in sales, R&D, production, logistics, information, human resources, management, etc; fourth, roles in promoting employment: taking into consideration how the project will promote employment, futuregrowth and expansion strategies, closeness between the upstream and downstream industrial chains and other social benefits.
