East China Jiaotong University officially started to admit Master of Accounting students in 1995. There are currently 21 faculties in this major, among which 6 are professors, 9 are associate professors and 6 are lecturers.

During the past five years, MA faculties have obtained over 50 provincial-level scientific and research projects, with a total fund of RMB 1.65 million; they have published 6 books, 12 textbooks and over 200 theses.

For MA students, the main research directions include: Financial accounting, Corporate finance, and Auditing.  The basic duration is three years, and it can be extended to no more than five years. Students who gain adequate credits and finish thesis defense will be granted a diploma of administration.
